Abstract

The author considers the issue of the institution of pilot stations. These have aroused a range of controversies in practice. Article 229 of the new Maritime Code deals with pilot stations. This regulation indicates that the director of a Maritime Office is obliged to create a pilot station, the task of which is "the organization and coordination" of pilot services and the training of pilots and candidates for the position of pilot. Pilot stations operate on the basis of regulations issued by the director of the Maritime Office.

Abstract

Selective Laser Melting (SLM) is a modern manufacturing method with many applications in medicine, aerospace and automotive industries. SLM processed materials are characterized by good dimensional accuracy and properties comparable or superior to materials obtained by traditional processing methods. In this paper an SLM process was used to obtain 316L stainless steel parts. This paper presents the microstructure, chemical and phase composition, physicochemical and electrochemical properties of 12 groups of tested samples, differentiated by the SLM processing parameters. Based on the investigation, it can be inferred that the selection of the appropriate SLM parameters is very important to determined final material properties. The samples produced with the energy density E = 600 J/mm3 were observed to possess optimum properties – a homogeneous structure, density closest to the desired one, good wettability and pitting corrosion resistance.

Abstract

The paper presents the research results concerning the chromium-nickel-molybdenum duplex cast steel GX2CrNiMoCuN 25-6-3-3 grade. The aim of studies was the description of the influence of hyperquenching temperature Tp i.e. 1100, 1125 and 1150℃ on microstructure and mainly mechanical properties i.e. tensile strength UTS, yield strength YS, hardness HB, elongation EL and impact energy KV of duplex cast steel GX2CrNiMoCuN 25-6-3-3 grade. The range of studies included ten melts which were conducted in foundry GZUT S.A. Based on the obtained results was confirmed that application of hyperquenching process guarantees the elimination of brittle s phase in the microstructure of studied duplex cast steel. Moreover on the basis of conducted statistical analysis of the researches results is concluded that with the decrease in hyperquenching temperature increases ductility and amount of austenite, while decreases strength and amount of ferrite in studied duplex cast steel GX2CrNiMoCuN 25-6-3-3 grade.

Abstract

Method for determination of carbendazim residues in fruits, vegetables and cereals was described. The compound was extracted with methanol-hydrochloric acid mixture, and after liquid-liquid partition step with dichlorornethane, was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with column switching and ultraviolet (UV) detection. The average recoveries of carbendazim from fortified sample were from 68.7% ± 4.3% to 92.6% ± 4.5%, the coefficients of variation were from 2.9% to 6.3%, and the limits of quantification at "A = 279 nm were from 0.02 mg/kg to 0.2 mg/kg.
