Abstract

Several methods can be applied for analyses of the acoustic field in enclosed rooms namely: wave propagation, geometrical or statistical analysis. The paper presents problems related to application of the boundary elements method to modelling of acoustic field parameters. Experimental and numerical studies have been combined for evaluation of acoustic impedance of the material used for the walls of a model room. The experimental studies have been carried out by implementing a multichannel measuring system inside the constructed model of an industrial room. The measuring system allowed simultaneous measurements of the source parameters - the loudspeaker membrane vibration speed, the acoustic pressure values in reception points located inside the model space as well as phase shifts between signals registered in various reception points. The numerical modelling making use of the acoustic pressure values measured inside the analyzed space allowed determination of requested parameters of the surface at the space boundary.

Abstract

Fusarium avenaceum, F. oxysporum, Alternaria alternata, Botrytis cinerea, Rhizoctonia solani, Mucor sp., Aspergillus niger, Penicillium spp. were the most often isolated species from fiber seeds. The antagonistic action of Trichoderma lignorum T 13–82 in relation to seed contaminants was evaluated. The use of Trichodermin-BL, based on that antagonist, applied as pre-sowing seed treatment and on growing plants decrease diseases incidence. The application of Trichodermin-BL improved a set of biometrical and physiological parameters during crop vegetation, increased the yield and raised flax fiber quality.

Abstract

The objective of this article is to project from three stories by César Aira certain literary micropoetics towards other discourses (Barcelona magazine and Capusotto’s television program) to make some considerations about humorous semiosis: the simultaneous effect of irritation and derision.

Abstract

In this paper the overview of the recent study on the rare-earth activated waveguides performed in the Optoelectronic Department of IMiO is presented. We reported on the development of rare earth-doped fluorozirconate (ZBLAN) glass fibers that allow a construction of a new family of visible and ultraviolet fiber lasers pumped by upconversion. Especially the performance of holmium devices is presented. The properties of laser planar waveguides obtained by the LPE process and the growth conditions of rare earths doped YAG layers are presented. In this paper we present also the theoretical study of the nonlinear operation of planar waveguide laser, as an example the microdisk Nd:YAG structure is discussed. We derived an approximate formula which relates the small signal gain in the Nd:YAG active medium and the laser characteristics, obtained for whispering-gallery modes and radial modes, to the output power and real parameters of the laser structure

Abstract

In the spring 2002 a qualitative and quantitative study of phitomicrobenthos organisms of the Kłodzka Valley rivers: the Nysa Kłodzka, the Biała Lądecka, and the Ścinawka was done. The species composition of algae and the number of specimen were determined on cach of 9 research stands. On the basis of the species presence the saprobie area was determined in the examined part of the river. On the basis of the species number, the evaluation of self-purification capacity was carried out. The determined saprobie area allowed evaluating water cleanliness and the usefulness of the rivers as a habitat for salmon fishes.

Abstract

In this research, a multi-tasking protection and control device has been designed and implemented has the ability to control and manage automatically the supply of electrical power from various sources to electric appliances connected to the light loading line (3L). At the same time, providing comprehensive protection for the appliances by delaying the supply of power for short period of time during the moment of conversion from one source to other in order to protect it from damage. The mechanism working of the proposed device depends on detecting the problem, diagnosing it and choosing the appropriate solution for it, and then organizing the supply from the appropriate source, and as a result ensure power supply to home appliances.

Abstract

Simulation is used today in many contexts, such as simulating technology to tune or optimize performance, safety engineering, testing, training, education, and entertainment. In some industries, simulations are commonly used, but in heat treatment this is rather an exception. The paper compares the simulation of carburization and nitrocementation of 16MnCr5 steel with a practical application. The aim was to determine the applicability of chemical heat treatment simulation. We were looking for an answer to the question: to what extent can we rely on the technological design of heat treatment? The software designed the heat treatment technology. He drew the technological process of chemical-thermal treatment of 16MnCr5 steel. The thickness of the cementite layer was 1 mm and the nitrocementation 1.2 mm. Changes in mechanical properties were observed. Cementing, nitrocementing, hardness, microhardness, metallography, and spectral analysis were practically performed. This article describes the benefits of simulation, speed and accuracy of the process. The only difference was in determining the carbon potential. The simulation confirmed the practical use and its contribution in the technological process.
